Roaster’s Note: Liberica stands out immediately due to its elongated cigar shape, which is a significant difference from Arabica and Robusta beans. Don’t let this put you off as it presents both the roaster and consumer with a rare opportunity to experience a coffee that has many other unique qualities, including its intriguing flavour profile which is something of a hybrid of Arabica and Robusta. This means Liberica shines both as a single origin coffee, or in a blend. I encourage you to be bold and see where it takes you 😉 While you can enjoy Liberica around 4 or 5 days past the roast date, I believe it is likely to reach its peak in terms of flavour probably 10 to 14 days post roast.
